You’ll Love HGTV Canada’s Home To Win Master Bedroom Makeover
We were all told on episode 1 of HGTV Canada’s Home To Win that this would be the biggest season yet, and it’s been quite a ride. Especially after last week’s reno of the kitchen and kids’ room (see the pictures here). And the master bedroom makeover is no different.
Master Bedroom – A Place To Indulge
When it comes to buying or decorating, the master bedroom has always been a covetable space. It has to be roomy. It has to be well lit. And it has to have a sizeable bed! And its like builder Sebastian Clovis and designer Sarah Keenleyside met with me before the episode began. It has everything I love.
The ingredients for a sanctuary bedroom
The upholstered headboard trend is still strong, and it hit the master bedroom. The entire room is anchored around this tufted Franklin King Bed for texture, lines and colour. It’s a bed you can sleep in (as that’s what beds are for) as well as sit up and read a book. And the box frame just adds to the look of comfort.
The furniture looks unique and pairs perfectly, thanks to the rustic brown grain lines and clean hardware of the Driftwood Collection. It’s an elevated contemporary feel that just begs you spend time here.
But it’s the corner of the room that grabs my eye. Check out the corner “office.” It’s a spot meant for those side hustles you love doing, like blogging or journaling. And if I’m being honest, the spot where I would do my makeup. How could you not with this abundance of natural light! (The desk chair is actually a side chair, that is just as stylish in the bedroom as it would be in the kitchen.)
